As Christians, our decision to follow Jesus is going to involve suffering. The Apostle Paul was a prime example of what it is like to suffer in the name of Christ. But even when it was hard, Paul put the Lord first in every choice he made. James teaches us the importance of putting God first in every choice we make—choices to follow, choices to finish, and in the end, choices to be faithful to the Lord for a lifetime.
