People wrestle with the concept of God's will all the time without understanding what it really means. Some picture God as a cosmic Easter bunny who has hidden His will for their lives in little parcels all over the world, and we're supposed to go around hunting for them.

But God has not hidden His will. He's not keeping it a mystery. He wants you to experience the freedom of following His will. If you want to know what God would have you do in some pressing decision, you need to know how to apply what the Bible says. God is incredibly interested in how you live your life. If fact, that's what His will is all about.

Get the truth about the will of God from this book from James MacDonald. Caution: It may shake you up a bit--or better--free you up to follow Christ with greater joy and confidence.

Softcover, 169 pages.

There are so many confusing teachings on God's Will when it really is so simple: God's Will is all about following God's word. Within this moral pasture is freedom to choose. Pastor James dispels the "dot theory" and using God's will as a trump card for self-centered decisions. A must-read, but don't forget to open your Bible while reading.

My husband and I have struggled for a long time wondering whether we are living 'in God's will,' or whether we missed it somewhere along the way -- and got 'off the dot.' Difficult life circumstances and challenges with our older children have caused us to look back and question if we had made a bad decision, or not 'done enough' to please God. This book helped clarify God's will, and has given us more freedom in the ability to make wise choices, knowing that God's hand is still on us throughout the process.

I read this book about two years ago and have been so blessed by the rock-solid teaching on this topic that relates to every thing we do and every thought that we think! I am purchasing several copies this year as Christmas gifts because I think this book has phenomenal distilled wisdom and was impressed with the way James writes in a way that challenges mature Christians while speaking clearly and relevantly to new believers and those who are still searching.
